Yes it does....NO carseat expert will tell you that bundle me is a good thing. They never line up with the harness holes, they add bulk, and they are not fire retardant. Keep a blanket in the car, warm up the car before you get in.

What I would look at are these cool carseat ponchos. They are easy to use, and eliminate the bulky winter coats (a big no, no).

Another option is to do thin layers of fleece. You can also put the coat on backwards - you put the child in and then put their coat on backwards so it does not interfere with the harness.
