Nominated for two Academy AwardsÂ(r)* in 1979 and considered "one of Allen's most enduring accomplishments" (Boxoffice), Manhattan is a wry, touching and finely rendered portrait of modern relationships against the backdrop of urban alienation. Sumptuously photographed in black and white (Allen's first film in that format) and accompanied by a magnificent Gershwin score, Woody Allen's aesthetic triumph is a "prismatic portrait of a time and a place that may be studied decades hence" (Time). 42-year-old Manhattan native Isaac Davis (Allen) has a job he hates, a seventeen-year-old girlfriend, Tracy (Mariel Hemingway), he doesn't love and a lesbian ex-wife, Jill (Meryl Streep), who's writing a tell-all book about their marriage and whom he'd like to strangle. But when he meets his best friend's sexy intellectual mistress, Mary (Diane Keaton), Isaac falls head over heels in lust! Leaving Tracy, bedding Mary and quitting his job are just the beginning of Isaac's quest for romance and fulf

Caleb Followill (lead singer, rhythm guitar) Nathan Followill (drums) Jared Followill (bass) Matthew Followill (lead guitar) Kings of Leon are a young rock band from Tennessee. They consist of three brothers -- Caleb (lead singer, rhythm guitar), Nathan (drums), and Jared (bass) Followill -- plus Matthew Followill (lead guitar), their first cousin. As the music on their 'Kings of Leon' EP debut for RCA Records shows, their songs teem with primal emotions and rangy rhythms noise sensed as sanctuary, friction felt as release, honesty jumped on for all it's worth because it's the only bankable road to salvation. Kings of Leon -- so-called because "Leon" is the name of both the Followills' father and grandfather -- are, in general, a hauntingly unusual yet dead classic band.

Manhattan?

Best answer:
The Subways travel through 4 of the 5 boroughs so getting to BK and BX from the city (Manhattan) will be easy. Canal Street for cheap shopping. Metrocards are sold inside train stations and at some corner stores. The one day fun pass is $ 7 and lets you ride on the subway until 3am the following morning.

Central Perk was not an actual coffee shop. It was on a soundstage in LA. The Friends building is in Greenwich VIllage.to find out about the subway, you can go onto mta.info for a map. they also have buses all over the city- in all the boros, so you should be able to get around without a problem. you can get a one day pass for $ 7 or a one week unlimited for $ 28-or something close to that.
see times square, central park, bronx zoo, south street seaport, the museums- natural history, the met, MOMA.
have fun!You can get a MetroCard at any subway stop and many news stands. You can get them in any amount that you want. I happen to think the Fun Passes are a waste of money. Just calculate how much you'll be spending for the subway throughout your entire trip and buy one for that amount. Also keep in mind that you'll get a few free rides. For example, I usually buy a $ 40 MetroCard, but the total amount of money I get on it is $ 48 because of the $ 8 bonus. That's four free rides, which is pretty good. They last about a year.

The subway goes all over Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs. Pay a visit to this site for more accurate info: http://mta.info/nyct/subway/index.html

I'd also suggest visiting http://www.hopstop.com You can punch in the addresses of where you will be and where you want to go and it will tell you the exact lines you need to use.

Cheap shopping = Canal Street. Not cheap: anywhere else. This is a good site: http://www.ny.com/shopping/

Site seeing- The Cloisters. The Brooklyn Bridge. The Metropolitan Museum of Art (if you go after May 1st go to the rooftop garden) and all of "Museum Mile." Central Park. Hoboken, NJ also has some excellent views of the Manhattan skyline.

Central Perk isn't real. The Seinfield restaurant is Tom's Restaurant: http://www.atown.org/toms/ It's in Morningside Heights, up by Columbia. The food is mediocre, but worth it to say that you've been there once. Take the 1 to 110th street and keep walking uptown for a couple of blocks. Or go to 116th and walk downtown a few blocks. It's on the corner of 112th and Broadway and you can't miss it.

While you're up there, try to get in on what they call a "vertical tour" of St. John the Divine. The view of Manhattan from the top is spectacular. And, as a Columbian, I would be remiss not to suggest a visit to my school. Our campus is beautiful in the spring.
