I can't find the recovery partition on my Acer laptop?
Best answer:
The normal function key combination while booting up an Acer for Factory Default Recovery is Alt+ F10. There should also be a program in your menus taht allows you to created your own set of recovery CDs and when you boot from those, they will return it back to the factory Default Install also. Make these CDs before you try anything else. Manufacturers put recovery partitions on the computers because it saves them from the cost of creating and distributing CDs with every computer they install the software on. Each one is specific to the computer you have, not all the other Acers on the market.
The recovery partition is d: and no files should ever be placed on this partition because the recovery will not work if you have done this. The only way to get is to work is to take your files off of that partition. Hope this help. Best of Luck.
